AI Assistants Everywhere, Extended Human Lifespans, Interdimensional Travel - That's Just the Beginning
This article describes a set of hypothetical scenarios that imagine the possible future developments of artificial intelligence (AI) and their potential impact on society. These scenarios cover a wide range of areas, from entertainment and leisure to space travel and interdimensional exploration. The scenarios were developed in collaboration with ChatGPT, a large language model trained by OpenAI that uses machine learning to generate text based on user input.
Naturally, I also wanted ChatGPT to predict my own future as well. After a bit of coaxing, and feeding it my social media profiles, it provided an intriguing outlook on my own life in the 100+ years to follow. After seeing the results, I am now absolutely convinced AI understands at least one thing about humanity — how much we love flattery.
One thing to note is that all of these scenarios are overwhelmingly positive. I did also interview ChatGPT about a “worst case scenario.” But I don’t want to ruin your day, so I’ll save that for another article. Today, we’ll stick to the happy predictions.

Good effort, but overall - Yawn. I didnt read anything new here that I hadn't read before. Although I did read the whole thing in the hope it might improve. So it wasnt terrible or boring, just not truly innovative. Much more imaginative stuff in new SCI-FI that the parrot brain apparently hasn't read it. Plus I consider the projections to be way too conservative. The exponential nature of the change is not seen in this regurgitation of our past words.
I imagine much better times to come that are beyond the capability of this first generation of LLMs to articulate. Wait until they can truly go beyond their training and imagine new things.
